Cinzia do not listen to toxic people like this for too long. It is not worth the madness. We all know she is insane. She probably lives in a shed behind her parents home. Where she smokes tons of meth and creates this rubbish content. You can not argue with the legally insane. They always win. Because they truly believe in their own madness. 😳 It is best to walk away. Block them or run for the hills. 😂 Have some ice cream and laugh about it with sane friends. Maybe visit the Colosseum an Engineering Marvel; not a prop.

A grim history of Oxford I had no idea of... I have been half in love with the idea of Oxford for half my life (ever since I read Northern Lights!), and since my sister started studying Archaeology there a few years back I finally had reason to cross the globe and spends some time there. And it is genuinely one of the most amazing places I've been, so weighed down with history. Just found your channel today, but really liking what I've seen of your content, both the deep dives and the short essays. Thank you for your work!

Not mine just in a site i found but i thought it would be cool to translate it and post it Its name probably comes from the root pa, which means guarding or nurturing, from which the verb "paomai" (to acquire, to keep) comes from. Panas, as his name suggests, symbolizes the World, the Pan? Its ambiguous form perhaps symbolizes the harmony of the world that arose out of chaos, which the cosmic divine powers serve and maintain. Pan the son of Hermes is two-brained (half-man, half-goat), because speech expresses everything and is constantly revolving, and is of two kinds, true and false. Well, the true part of him is lion and divine and dwells above the abode of the gods, while the false part lives below among the crowd and is rough and tragic. Because most myths and lies revolve around this issue, that is, the tragic life. Pan flirts with the Nymphs, because these Entities undertake the weaving of the soul with the body, during incarnation, so they sustain Life. And the Word manifests and is cultivated within a Perfect Being that Lives in the sublunar fields. Pan, according to the myth, is in love with Aphrodite because those souls who incarnate and receive the influence of speech, tend towards the Notional Kallos, represented by the Goddess, harmonizing their surroundings, according to Timaeon, which are disturbed by the entrance of of soul in matter. That is why Pan plays the Syringe, which has Seven flutes in an array, symbolizing the human Soul with its Seven Centers and by playing Music (supplication) harmonizes it. The combination of the human and animal form of Panos symbolizes, on a human level, the world-historical event of the Promethean man's exit from the caves and forests, when he separated himself from the rest of the animal kingdom, creating human civilization. The lower animal part of Pana symbolizes the animal instincts and passions that keep man captive in matter, while the upper part represents the thinking man. The belt has always been a symbol of isolation of the upper torso, as closest to the higher nature of man, the soul and spirit which distinguishes man from the rest of the animal kingdom. The lower part of the trunk being closest to the ground symbolized matter. For this reason, the initiates also wore the purple belt around their waists, as a sign of their initiation, and of the knowledge that man is superior to his animal passions, as "above religion". Horns always symbolize, as we have often mentioned, the connection of man with the Divine. Horns also symbolize the moon, which illuminates the darkness, borrowing light from the Sun. Man's purpose is to become self-luminous, and not heteroluminous like the Moon. In this way, Pan is the hierophant who leads the mystic's soul towards self-knowledge and "Theosis". Its symbol is the goat which climbs the difficult paths of the paths of knowledge and self-knowledge. Panas in his lower monstrous animal state, like all monstrous beings in Greek mythology, represent animal passions, mental weaknesses, defects, perversions and phobias. In his higher human status he symbolizes not only the intelligent man, but the man who tries to conquer "self-knowledge".

Interesting, it’s quite possible that the Medusa myth is tied to Medea the daughter of king Aeëtes of Colchis, she was also a priestess of the goddess Hecate & a sorceress that was often depicted with long flowing hair & snakes, she had a very good knowledge of medicines "she probably could get you hypnotised & stoned" with just a look, lol 😂 😆 quite possibly a connection with these two characters, in my opinion???

i do wonder about why hades and persephone in particular are so incredibly romanticized (i dont usually like how that word is used wrt dark fiction but its pretty literal here i think. myths of this calibre are a little different i feel), when apollo and hyacinthus are *right there*. but they were a queer couple, so i guess thats why they havent been talked about historically. theyd have a lot of catching up to do against hades and persephone for modern audiences :/

let me clear some things out all the misunderstanding comes from this two words 1. εραστής 2. ερωμένος two epithets that in modern greek means the same thing which translates simply to (lover) but ancient greek is still studied and examined untill this day. In ancient texts these two words are used almost always in the same sentences but why use the same word with the same meaning to desribe smth? This is what it actually meant it's original meaning «Εραστής και Ερώμενος» = Teacher and Student in the military and schools in ancient Greece: The misunderstood meaning of two words, a concept that has changed today. This is not the only words that has a different meaning in modern greek many many words have changed it's original meaning one more example is <<αγορά>> today it translates simply as market/emporium. Ancient meaning is a place where people speak.

I have a theory as to why Artemis would kill Ariadne but I am no means a greek methology expert. Artemis as the goddess of the hunt usually protects sacred animals and the bull and it's descendant the minotaur are part of her domain idk (Artemis also hunts other sacred animals herself so this theory is weak but just an idea tho) with Ariadne helping to kill the Minotaur that might've slighted her but idk how it would fit with the Dionysus- Artemis beef
